You know that moment in July when it’s ninety degrees, the porch is calling your name, and you want something that actually tastes like summer without being a sugar bomb in disguise? That’s exactly what the Ginger Peach Lemonade was built for. Fresh peach, real lemon, a little kick from the ginger beer, and our whiskey holding it all together like it was born to. Backyard-ready, no bartending degree required.
What You Need:
1/4 large ripe peach (ripe enough that it gives a little when you squeeze it)
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice (bottled works, but don’t tell us about it)
1 1/2 oz. Indiana Whiskey Peaches be Crazy Whiskey
2 1/2 oz. Ginger Beer
Fresh mint, for garnish
What You Do:
Toss the peach and lemon juice into a cocktail tin and muddle until the peach gives up the goods. Don’t pulverize it, just enough to break it down.
Add whiskey and ice, then shake like you mean it.
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. No one wants peach chunks in their drink.
Top with ginger beer, give it a gentle stir, and slap some mint on top.
It’s bright, it’s got a little heat, and the peach keeps everything grounded without being cloying about it. The kind of cocktail that makes people ask what’s in it and then immediately want another one.
